empirical.selectivity's Issues

Non-numeric "years"

When years are not numeric (e.g. "surveys") create a sequence for weigthing and clustering.

estimation of double normal selectivity fit to empirical selectivity estimates

@roliveros-ramos, here's some info on the 6-parameter double normal selectivity as implemented in Stock Synthesis which you noted in the presentation today as something to support with this tool in the future.

The SS double normal (as well as logistic) are coded in R as part of a shiny tool for exploring selectivity shapes at https://github.com/r4ss/r4ss/blob/development/inst/Shiny/Selectivities/server.R#L10-L84
I think we would need to move those functions from /inst/Shiny/ to /R/ to make them available to the empirical selectivity function, but I'm assuming we could do that without an impact on the shiny tool. @Andrea-Havron developed the shiny tool so would know better.
