Human Activity Recognition(HAR) As a Research Assistant working with the MHealthGroup team at the PHI Department of Northeastern University I was introduced to Human Activity and Accelerometer Data. My experience there got me interested in this field of Wearable Data Analysis, so I decided to learn more about it. I would like to learn how Human Activity Recognition works and how Accelerometer data is analysed to predict relevent Activity. My inspiration for this project is this amazing medium post about the research in HAR. It really is an amazing research and has a lot of things which my work takes inspiration from. A tracking application that tracks the device and sends regular updates to a server. The app is designed for tracking a device at regular period of time(as decided by master login). Uses cases are vast. Can be used for tracking when travelling alone or can be used by businesses to track sales team to generate stats for effectiveness of sales path and sales campaigns. The data is stored in encrypted form. Based on requirement the location history of the device can be retrieved. The app also allows for periodic updates to be sent to a designated email address-master login.
