mkjs's Issues

How did you reverse engineer this?

This is really impressive and seems to be a really good recreation of how Mario Kart DS works. Iā€™m using it as a reference to see how I can try to make my own Mario Kart game and make the physics work properly. How did you get the information about how it works? Did you decompile the game? Also, since the DS has no FPU was it using fixed point originally? The platform Iā€™m making my game on also has no FPU

Colliding with a wall while boosting on a slanted surface causes strange vertical behavior

Colliding with a wall on a slanted surface causes kart to hop higher than it should be able to. When in a boost, this effect is increased further. Some boost pads are a slanted surface and are right next to a wall, for example, here's a video demonstrating this in Yoshi Falls.
During the big "jumps" on the wall, I'm not holding the hop/drift button. Yet it somehow "jumps" anyways
