practice's Introduction

Practice

“Practice makes the master.” - Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

This is way of storing and using a daily to do list, which will display what hasn't been done since the last reset in the console. It uses leveldb for storage.

GeekTool

The idea is that there are several tasks which ought to be done daily: since I love a clean desktop, I print out these tasks (and these only) on the desktop using GeekTool and remove them as I complete them. I reset it daily. This way I am constantly reminded to practice.

Install

npm install -g practice

Usage

If arguments are not flagged, it will assume they are done and will mark them as true. Thus practice test will mark test as done, and remove it from the returned output.

Flags

-r, --reset Resets all to false. If given a parameter, will reset that.
-i, --input Specifies different input file
-d, --done Set value to true. If multiple times, sets all params to true.
-n, --new Create new item in the list.
-e, --erase Remove the task from the list permanently. Use arg 'all' to delete everything.
-w, --wipe Mark all values as true,
  -l, --list Show all values

practice's Issues

Action required: Greenkeeper could not be activated 🚨

🚨 You need to enable Continuous Integration on all branches of this repository. 🚨

To enable Greenkeeper, you need to make sure that a commit status is reported on all branches. This is required by Greenkeeper because we are using your CI build statuses to figure out when to notify you about breaking changes.

Since we did not receive a CI status on the greenkeeper/initial branch, we assume that you still need to configure it.

If you have already set up a CI for this repository, you might need to check your configuration. Make sure it will run on all new branches. If you don’t want it to run on every branch, you can whitelist branches starting with greenkeeper/.

We recommend using Travis CI, but Greenkeeper will work with every other CI service as well.

Once you have installed CI on this repository, you’ll need to re-trigger Greenkeeper’s initial Pull Request. To do this, please delete the greenkeeper/initial branch in this repository, and then remove and re-add this repository to the Greenkeeper integration’s white list on Github. You'll find this list on your repo or organiszation’s settings page, under Installed GitHub Apps.
