actionlint
command has -config-file
argument. Isn't it what you wanted?

well, the config-file
works but here the use case is different: I'm using a required workflow where actionlint
is setup, and have a caller workflow which just do something like:
jobs:
check:
uses: org/repo/.github/workflows/check.yml
But I don't want to have the caller to have to have a configfile. I want the caller workflow to rely on a config provided by the required workflow, in a self contained way. But since a required workflow can't have any other artifacts (i.e. a config file or anything) then everything needs to be self contained, and hence, I would have imagined the ability to kind of have --config=...
where I would pass on an heredoc of some sort.
I guess this is more a general issue with how required workflows (or any re-usable workflow) works I guess...So not sure this is yours to fix. I'll close this issue.
