fast-rolls's Introduction

FoundryVTT Fast Rolls

ko-fi

This module offers the ability to roll dice with as little as one click and more.

A series of dice buttons have been added bellow the chat, they can be used in different fashions.

  • a regular click on a die will make a roll and display it in the chat right away.

  • if the ctrl key is held, the roll will be blind instead.

  • if the shift key is held and nothing is present in the chat box, a new roll sequence will be started in the form of /r 1dx.

  • if the shift key is held and a roll sequence exists (from a previous shift + click or manually typed), more will be added to it, updating existing dice if needed.

  • if the shift key is being held while any text is present in the chat box, a new inline sequence will be added at the end of the text in the form of [[1dx]]

  • if the shift key is being held while an inline sequence is present at the end of the chat box text, more will be added to it, updating existing dice if needed.

NOTE: Only basic dice are handled by the module d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100

fast-rolls's Issues

Request: Option to Lighten Dice in Tray

The dark dice are very difficult for some of us with old eyes to see with some UIs (Dark Mode on Dorako's) options. Is it possible to have an optional "light" dice set? Of course, even more crazy would be if someone had unique dice from something like Dice So Nice to have them show but I have a feeling that would add a lot to this mod, taking away from its light impact aspects but I'll just leave that there :D

Feature Request: maintain vertical size of buttons when scaling horizontally

I was hoping to use this as a lightweight replacement for Dice Tray, but unfortunately your buttons suffer from the same thing as theirs when using Sidebar Resizer:

now DT has some buttons with the desired behaviour, see the bottom row here:

I have an issue on their github, but no movement in 9 months. I am in no way familiar enough with CSS to know what they're doing on the bottom row vs the others, but since I know it can be done, figured I'd ask if you could figure it out ๐Ÿ™‚ I normally have my sidebar ~1.75x the width of normal, and so I've had to keep the actual tray part of DT turned off, because that is just too much vertical space for dice buttons.

In fact, as an issue stretch goal: an alternate 'flat' mode that just has text dX button labels but is only ~1/3 as tall as current would be my ideal. But just having them not get taller than default would be a great improvement.

Support for d100

As simple as it sounds: possibility to roll d100 with one click
