yep, search through closed issues — this package still generates markdown, so that * is escaped. That may or may not be what you want

@wooorm i check the issues, but only read the titles, and none of them seemed like the same issue, but i guess i was wrong..
Are there any other things i need to look out for when using the output or is it just that * is escaped?

Yes, every punctuation character that seems to do something in markdown is escaped to prevent it from doing something.
