• Unpack the folder "FNVSGM" to your harddrive.
• run FNVSGM.exe
• select "Savegames" -> "Scan for Savegames/Characters"
• select the profile you want to play from the dropdown list
• click "Play" button to lunch Fallout New Vegas and play with the active profile

• Now writes setting to Fallout.ini instead of FalloutPrefs.ini, should be less prone to breaking.
