I cannot start Windows because it won't boot. It restarts automatically after 10 seconds on the boot screen

After installing Rectify11, the Radeon Pro Software crashes when started, displaying the following error message:

"The instruction at 0x00007FF69169FC98 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. The memory could not be read.

Click on OK to terminate the program"

I've attached a screenshot of the error:

After restoring original windows 11 the taskbar is in windows 10 style and also I don't know if it should be like that but explorer patcher isn't removed after restoration

Fixed it by opening explorer patcher and setting the taskbar style to windows 11

Rectify11 v3.0-RP

Hi!

I was using the installer, when I got stuck in a bootloop.
I followed the closed issue on how to fix it, but just couldn't stop there. So I modified the setup/cmdLine (in regedit) to cmd.exe, and looked into the problem.
It is simple. I had Rectify11Installer.exe in my downloads, which is on OneDrive, so the full path was:
C:\Users\meh\OneDrive - <school.domain>\Downloads\Rectify11Installer.exe
I tried to run it with the /setup switch, as it was originally written in cmdLine, and the error stated that the system cannot access that file.
I ran Firefox from the same setup session, re-downloaded the installer, moved it to C:\, then ran C:\Rectify11Installer.exe /setup.
And it worked.

So to fix this problem with the app, I suggest you to instruct the installer to copy itself to the %SystemDrive%, then set the cmdLine to THAT executable. (So instead of <EnvCurrentExePath> /setup it would be <EnvSystemDrive>\Rectify11Installer.exe /setup.)

I hope I could help and that this GitHub issue doesn't already exist...

Each time I go past the EULA I get this error. The installer is running as admin.

I dont know if its possible or not but I think SecureUxTheme better than Uxthemepatcher.

SecureUxTheme Features:

• No system file modifications
• No driver needed
• Secure boot compatible
• Probably quite future-proof
• Fixes LogonUI resetting some colors on locking

The installers with a single .exe file do not install any icons. Stage 2 of the setup installs extremely quickly (installs themes only), which is a medium red flag. Pretty self-explanatory.

When opening the Xbox Game Bar, the screen goes completely grey (except for the Game Bar elements) and I have to restart my PC. Hope this is patched in an update.

with the increasing relevance of arm-based computers, there should be a way to make those systems look the part much like their beefier(albeit less efficient) brotherin. it would be foolish to say that Arm-based Computing is NOT the future.

How we remove this?

The latest prerelease from the GitHub releases doesn't have the issue

I use a 4k as a monitor.. and if enable HDR i cant read text in explorer and control panel and execute windows ( win+r) and probably a lot more.. i cant give some screenshots becouse for some reason in the screenshot the text apears ( probably beacouse screenshot wont support hdr )

I know it's not released yet but I'd figure I would point out some stuff I've noticed.

After running the installer and rebooting attempting to enable/disable anything from the 'Turn Windows Features On And Off' wizard (optionalfeatures) that requires a reboot will fail.

The system will reboot but it will say 'feature installation failed, reverting changes' and nothing will be applied.

Also when attempting to unlock a bitlocker protected drive you get a Metro style popup message that says
'Your Organization Used Windows Defender Application Control To Block This App'
C:\Windows\System32\bdeunlock.exe

I assume this is because bdeunlock is patched because copying an unpatched one from a different install works fine.

AFAIK this isn't actually caused by defender in any way as I've completely removed it. (deleted files, stopped tasks from the registry, disabled it via GPO, etc.) with no change.

I've also tried disabling secure boot, integrity checks, and even testsigning mode with no change.

Uninstaller didn't uninstall nilesoft and accentcolorizer. now help me uninstall it.

Bootloop during system start right before lockscreen, system restore point wouldn't fix it, spent the whole day trying to fix it without luck, so far clean install seems to be the only solution.

Idk i was kinda scared so i unistalled rectify11 before updating windows 11

When using the update option in Rectify11, after a feature update, the installer won't reinstall UltraUXThemePatcher, making themes useless until the patch is installed.

Another option could be patching the necessary dlls in memory, like https://github.com/namazso/SecureUxTheme.
The latest release still works on Windows 11 and has the added benefit of persisting windows updates (although SystemSettings needs to be rehooked)

How can I edit/modify context menu for my needs? (With disabled win11 context menu)

After rectified my Windows 11 Dev Insiders, I cannot change the Recommendation section on the Start menu, I won't go down or move up.

I've noticed after installing Rectify11 on a fresh installation of Windows 11 22H2 that the darkmode themes it provides do not work correctly on native Win32 applications.

I understand that these imperfections haven't been encountered for yet because 22H2 is a relatively new update, and I will definitely keep using Rectify11, just with a lightmode theme until these issues are resolved in an upcoming release.

Hello.

I noticed that in the latest version of Rectify11 it fixed "automatic restart issues", is it relating to the system keeping on rebooting..?
Because one time I installed it and left my PC off for a while, when I powered it back on it kept restarting over and over..
Thinking it was likely a virus or something, I am just asking if it's Rectify11, or me.

I've tried compiling Rectify11 to try out the latest updates, but I'm getting the error:

The files.7z file is not present in this repository, would it be possible to upload it?

The website dosent work.

the result is similar to this: #48

and even uninstaller does nothing. modern context menu is completly gone, nliesoft shell is not removed, and other components are too.(maybe modern search too) cannot revert rectify11, execpt for icons.

the solutions are:

1. overwrite or skip. i think that's simple.
2. or delete the components completly when uninstalling. but this solution won't work if user accidentally has files or folders with the same name.
3. installer won't end even though the file copying is partially successed. need exception handling for this.

Alright, so heres the thing, I chose to install recitfy11 by using this, After it told me to restart after booting up, my boot logo faded in, and then restarted, Ive tried going into safe mode but i only got to boot into safe mode for 1 second, I tried to uninstall Rectify11 using hiren bootcd, but the uninstall option was greyed out, My SSD Is still safe and no data was erased, Please help!

I have an old school computer (from like, a year ago) and I thought it would be nice to change the logo to the Windows 11 one, but idk how to do that manually (ik that HackBGRT exists, but still)

Maybe a custom cursor pack like this one can be used?

On 22H2 in the newest dev release, the windows explorer changes to a full black background instead of mica when resizing the window. After minimizing and reopening the mica background returns.

Inactive explorer window turns black

explorer windows saves it's colors when at least one explorer window keeps active

Inactive explorer window saves normal color, but last inactive window turns black

Updating Mica For Everyone in C:\Windows folder to newer (1.2.0.1) version doesn't help

-hi, apart from the fact that the theming doesn't worked (but applying icons in control panel yes), the uninstaller wont let me press the uninstall button it figures as a new install
