BUG: I saw that you're planning to add support for this in the future, But until then there is a bug that effects other skins. When using a keyboard shortcut to navigate to pvr windows (channels, recordings, timers) it goes to a blank page obviously because there's no xml file, but that also seems to wipe away settings used by others skins during that kodi session. So after switching to a different skin from copacetic, those pvr windows/locations are void of content in that other skin until a restart. I think an xml place holder file with applicable settings needs to be there until full PVR functionality is implemented. This may be true for others sections without xml files, such as weather but I haven't checked.

When going from one place to the other in Kodi, sometimes I know exactly where I want to go, but I'm slowed down by waiting for fade-in animations. Do you think it would be possible to add an option to customize the duration, or a toggle to simply disable animations?

it only shows part of chinese characters correctlly, some characters just shows as horizon lines...kindly pls help on this issue

I'm using the Deezer Addon to stream music on Kodi. Unfortunately with Copacetic the album cover is not shown in the fullscreen music osd.

This works fine with other skins like Estuary.

It also works fine with Copacetic and my local music library. Only when using Deezer with Copacetic is the album cover gone.

RFE: Really need more than 9. If you really insist on a finite amount then give us at least 20. 9 total is not nearly enough. I use several rows per addon such as Hulu, Paramount+, Amazon, skin helper widgets, PVR paths etc... I navigate primarily via widgets. Love that as soon as Kodi starts I can just click up and down for my content already focused, similar to major streaming apps.

In the top row of the pause menu (when playing music) there is a wrong button description:

The button on the top left left is called "Pause" but should be "Back"

is it possible for you to add the "LibreElec settings menu" to be visible in the main settings menu. At the moment you cannot open this menu you need to change skin in order to be able to access it.

In the official repo skin (version 1.1.4) even on the latest version from github (version 1.1.6) when you go to the menu settings and try to set a background for any available menu you get NONE (screenshot bellow)

Example:
GENREAL > HOME MENU > MOVIES > Select Background -> None

Basically it is missing the menu for Single image, Multiple images...

I'm using LibreElec 11.0.1 but have also tried Kodi 20.2 from flathub but the same behavior persists.

If you need any additional info I will be happy to provide.

I have two Android TV's and use the skin on both. But on one device the Music OSD disappears after a few seconds and fades to a black screen. The strange thing is, this doesn't happen on the other device.

I checked all settings and didn't find any setting that would change this behavior. What am I missing here? I'd like the Music OSD to be always visible.

When playing a PG-13 rated movie, the toast at movie start is improperly spaced

When copacetic is set to US ratings, and a PG-13 movie is started, the informational toast that appears in the top left corner of the screen doesn't leave enough space around the PG-13 logo, so the words in the toast run into the logo.

There is a problem with the Power menu. Basically the only thing that works on the power menu is the Light and Dark mode. Any other item that is added to the power menu won't open. Even the defualt Add-ons one is not opening.

I have tried to open Add-ons, System information and System till now but without luck. The test ware performed when opening the power menu from the home screen also on opened settings menu.

I use LibreElec 11.0.1 and the problem is present on the latest skin 1.1.6.

In the latest version 1.1.7 the option to enable or disable the background slideshow is missing.

FIX for the issue:
The file skin.copacetic/16x9/Content_Settings.xml is missing a whole Enable background fanart slideshow control button. It should be returned as in previous versions:

Hey sorry for the delay, but as we mentioned in the playback info thread, just starting this new one incase you decide to implement and track. I really want to thank you for implementing the new list/grid views for the menu lists in addons - TMDB Helper looks great, some other addons not so much.

I was thinking about all the different addon types and all the requests you must get for a variety of specific addons and wonder if there's a universal solution for them to make it simpler for your integration .... hopefully a lot of the code already exists in other parts of skin and would allowing the user to set some customisable options from the side menu of both view types for all different addons.

I completely agree that any other views aside from the list/grid would be lost on most addons simply because there is no standard for the quality of artwork used by the authors. Some use high res, others don't. Some add text in their images, some don't. Some draw from so many different image types/tags (poster/icon/thumbnail/fanart) which I imagine makes for so many headaches for skin developers like yourself.

I wonder if the easiest way might be to include the options below for a solution for music, video and program add-ons:

Breadcrumbs (List/Grid View) - an option to toggle on/off. Would save the duplication of information on list view and keep in line with the clean skin aesthetic. In grid view it would take care of the same issue for addons that have text in the icons.

(Really love how you've implemented the icon artwork on the list view btw - very swish!! and great that it can be toggled between that or backgroud for addons that have low-res imagery). This leads to the next suggestion for the grid view:

Image display type (Grid) - Would putting an option in the side menu letting the user select the type of image be a solution? Not dissimilar to the poster/fanart choice in video list containers, but just to include a toggle to select poster/icon/thumb/fanart in the lists.

I'm hoping this wouldn't be too much of headache to do. I've seen a few requesting views/image type for a variety of specific addons when really it's more about how the addon creators have setup their images in the list containers. Least this way you could wash your hands of that and put the choice on the user as what they think looks best for them.

when attempting to install your skin on Kodi Nexus. I’ve tried installing via the Kodi repository, and also directly from the .zip you’ve provided on the Kodi forum.

I’m using a brand new clean install of Nexus on Windows 10. I’ve also tried installing the Copacetic Extra Fonts add on.

RFE: Skip step/seeking numerical and bar reference. Something similar to your RW/FF OSD would be nice perhaps optioned in the customizations settings section. Could also just be added to the seek bar since the bar appears when skip stepping anyway. Right now I'm navigating blindly when clicking the directional buttons multiple times.

I really like this skin but it's unable to show Radios which is a killer for me.

Can this be added? Radios have a logo and would work well with the skin IMO

Option to turn off star ratings in movie info screen either per view or universally

I don't even know where these star ratings came from. They're not mine.

The file skin.copacetic/shortcuts/Overrides.xml is with upper case first letter when you install the skin via the repository although the file is with lower case on the GitHub page skin.copacetic/shortcuts/overrides.xml.
This cause the same problem for skin.shortcuts not to work properly on Linux.

FIX: the zip file that provides the latest updates from the repo skin.copacetic-1.1.7.zip contains the Overrides.xml file with first uppercase letter. - needs to be updated from the main repo "Master" branch.

Currently, the video timeline is just one solid progress bar. I love copacetic's minimalist aesthetic, but it would be really nice to have a visual indicator of how many chapters there are in the video.

It could be something as simple as breaks in the progress bar. Or a small bit of text above the progress bar that says "Chapter X/Y"

Transparency for some OSD windows. Mainly the video processing OSD. It takes up half the screen and is completely opaque. Somewhat jarring especially since most of the OSD windows have transparency. Couple others I notced that are opaque are the zoom amount OSD and subtitle delay OSD. If the opaque OSD windows/dialogs are intentional, then I guess it's an RFE.

Enhancement request:
Add video resolution as an option for breadcrumb display in grid view.

Currently when using grid view, the only way to see what resolution videos are in is to open the info display. It would be useful if video resolution could be added to the breadcrumb display when a title is hovered, either before or after the movie date.

Copacetic is GORGEOUS, by the way, and after getting it configured the way I want, I legitimately want to invite people over to show it off.

When accessing an OSD window such as video OSD settings directly from a keyboard shortcut (via keymap editor), it's very dimmed, barely readable. When accessing from your OSD button, it's not.

Hiya, hope this message finds you well, I Just got a chance to test the latest version (1.1.7) and noticed a bug. On playback pause i'm no longer getting the info screen (The one with clearlogo, plot etc). Are you able to replicate this?

Btw thanks for the work you did on the grid view for video add-ons, that was super quick and looks great, had a hectic few days at work so today has been my first chance to sit down and update to go through... i think i have a couple of ideas if it's okay for me to open up a new [enhancement] issue?

When you try to open the "Add network location.." menu from the File Manager nothing happens. It looks like it opens the window but it is not focused because you cannot do anything until you hit Backspace to exit the "invisible" window.

Couldn't find anything specific in the skin files. Was looking for Window.IsVisible(networksetup) but I may be totally off track for this bug.

Capocetic version 1.1.16 from LibreElec official depot. Fresh libreElec install with the base package, copacetic and two video extension (ARTE+7 and France.tv)

When I go to the shutdown menu, the menu displayed does not correspond to the one in the configuration (see screenshots).

The extension/add-on entry in the menu generates a sound but does not open the extensions/add-on menu.
The entry to quit kodi does not appear.

If repeated press on the extension entry, kodi may crash and restart.

I'm just starting out with Kodi/Libreelec. I don't know if there are any other logs available that could help you.

The timeout for the OSD settings is way too quick. The menu will fade before the user can make a selection if they don't press a button for ~2 seconds.

If you're trying to adjust subtitles or audio channels, the menu will disappear before you can make a selection.

, for example, new movies, latest episodes, in progress tv shows, unwatched movies, etc... ( i am not using Widgets), it will be a solution if the name of the movie or tv show could be displayed in the screen

This ticket is a request for enhancement, to enter the shutdown menu you have to hold down the return button for half a second. My TV remote doesn't support key-holding. It is therefore not possible to use this remote to access the shutdown menu and shutdown the device. I assume that this is not an isolated case.

It might be interesting to offer a second way of accessing the shutdown menu that is compatible with CEC remotes.

Unfortunate I am having a Dependency Error on Linux and Android for visualization.waveform and it doesnt matter what repo I use (Kodi or realcopacetic.github.io) there is no source to install that. A kodi.tv addons lookup reveals that there is no Linux Platform support for that addon

The hard-coded Add-ons button from shutdown menu is not working it returns the fallowing error when pressed:

FIX for the issue:
In the file skin.copacetic/shortcuts/shutdownmenu.DATA.xml the <label>$LOCALIZE[24001]</label> should be replaced with <label>$LOCALIZE[10140]</label>.

Non-working ID 24001 -> Working ID 10140
