Firstly, thanks for making this, I really love the idea :)

It would be nice if the defaults for files named by orgwiki could be customized. For example, choosing the name of the index file or determining the date format string used in the automatically created diary files. This is a minor adjustment that would make this plugin much more versatile.

Refactor the local functions in modules, make them readable and extensible in a utils.lua module

Add support for norg filetype and opts variable to set preferred default filetype
Setting defualt filetype makes it quicker to index through preambles and header markups
