Cricket Score Predictor : Project Overview

  • "Cricket Score Predictor" is a web application that predicts the 1st inning's score (MAE~25 runs) of an ODI cricket match.
  • Collected raw data that contained ball by ball information of around 1400 ODI matches.
  • Cleaned and prepared the data into suitable format by combining all csv files and removing matches that had No Result.
  • Generated some more features based on the domain knowledge.
  • Applied data pre-processing to encode categorical features.
  • Optimized Linear,Random forest and XGBoost regressors using GridsearchCV to reach the best model.
  • Built a web app using Flask and deployed it using Heroku.
