@lydiecos I can reproduce this error. I'll see if I can get to the bottom of it shortly!
I will also transfer this to the appropriate repository
from r-bridge.
The best solution for now is to down grade to 4.2.x
There is not a 4.3 compatible build yet. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience!

@lydiecos
can you please try again installing? I've merged a PR that should make this available for R version 4.3
R-ArcGIS/r-arcgis.github.io#7
from r-bridge.
@JosiahParry Thank you, the installation appears to go smoothly now but upon loading the package into R I still get:
Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘arcgisbinding’:
package ‘arcgisbinding’ was installed before R 4.0.0: please re-install it
from r-bridge.
@lydiecos this is an issue with the compiled binary.
@dpavlushko I was able to install from source using remotes::install_github("R-ArcGIS/r-bridge")
.
library(arcgisbinding)
arc.check_product()
Works successfully. But arc.open()
crashes the R session.
from r-bridge.
@JosiahParry I tried using:
remotes::install_github("R-ArcGIS/r-bridge")
Error: Failed to install 'unknown package' from GitHub:
Timeout was reached: [api.github.com] Connection timeout after 10014 ms
Any advice?
from r-bridge.
Ok thanks for the reply.

@JosiahParry Is there a timeline for the 4.3 compatible build?
from r-bridge.
@bangen just published a new version 1.0.1.306 for R - 4.3
from r-bridge.
The R 4.3 version should be working as expected, if it isn't feel free to log a new issue.
