qdesktop's Issues

A few options for menu item icon

Current yellow smile icon could be disturbing for some users.

Ideal icon would reflect (indicate) current status of the web page - interactive or inactive (wallpaper).

Menu bar icon should have glyph option as default.

Support for Alert Dialogs

Would it be possible to add support for alert dialogs? I use your app to display a project management tool and any alert dialogs that open do not display and prevent me from using the tool for whatever function caused the alert.

If there's no way to allow them, is there anyway to catch them and maybe display them in a different manner?

Support for multiple displays

When multiple displays are connected to the Mac, Qdesktop always runs on the primary screen. It should be capable of spanning a website across multiple desktops or displaying a different website on each desktop.

Sign In Issue

I am attempting to use feedly as my background, but I am unable to login because they use a pop up. I got the link for the direct sign in but it still is not working. Any ideas?

Memory Leak

When it first starts, it seems to have a very small memory footprint. After a few days it can be as large as a gig or larger. Quit and restart, all is good again. It grows by about 30MB each time it refreshes the image. Absolutely wonderful application, other than that.

Javascript/Canvas Performance

Javascript performance (especially drawing on canvas) is brutally slow compared to native browsers, even when used sparingly. A single call to CanvasRenderingContext2D.fillRect() once per renderframe kills performance to where the whole system becomes unstable.
I'm not really experienced in using WebKit from an application dev's pov, so I'm not sure if there is a "fix" for this - maybe some compiler flags that can be set to enable GPU support?

Download link no longer works

The bitbucket download link doesn't lead to anywhere I can download qdesktop, and your website link seems to be broken as wlel.
