Rhythmbox fails to load the plugin

Hi,
When I try to activate the plugin in Rhythmbox preferences it fails:

Hovering over the failure reveals a simple: failed to load error and no other detail.

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS 64 bit, Gnome 3.36.8.
Rhythmbox 3.4.4

Steps:

  • I cloned the rhythmbox-plugins repo in /home/paul/git
  • I created a symlink: ln -s /home/paul/git/rhythmbox-plugins/dlna ~/.local/share/rhythmbox/plugins/
  • I ran the dependencies installation step without errors.
  • I attempted to activate the plugin via preferences. The plugin was visible in the list, but was I was unable to activate it.

Note: I also tried removing the symlink and copying the dlna folder over, but got the same result.
