Hi, I was reading your examples, and I thought "The incantantion is entirely analogous" in svi_part_ii.html means incantation. A type error maybe.

Hi all, I think changes in latest pyro versions introduced some incompatibility with some examples. For example, for the elections `examples/elections.ipynb' notebook, I am seeing changes in the results ( Starting from cell 12 in https://pyro.ai/examples/elections.html , where I get probability 1.0 ). The rest of the differences I think is consequence of the error with this model specification .

I've already try many things but was unable to get the error.

The most promising one seemed to be to fix the prior_mean definition on cell 8, which , by the way , seems to be wrong . The denominator should be the total number of electors, instead of republican ones.

Any help will be appreciated. If you point me into the right direction I can fix it and create a pull request.

My pyro-ppl version is 1.7.0, torch is 1.9.0
