weren't resolving. workaround:

        try:
            target_file = open(self.__file)
        except IOError:
            target_file = open("/" + self.__file) # add "/" cause of error on osx

and further down...

             try:
                fmod_time = os.stat(self.__file)[9] 
            except OSError:
                fmod_time = os.stat("/" + self.__file)[9] # added "/" cause error on osx

A friend of mine ran into an issue with mixer.py's logging, notably line 145:

log.info("Grabbing stream...", uid=x.id)

Similar code on lines 160 and 168. All three have a constant string as the log message, and then provide a uid= named argument, which the logging module doesn't like, with the setup he's using. This code was changed to that form back in 2012, #9cc326, so I'm sure he can't be the first person to run into this; is there something that needs to be configured in logging to make the uid parameter work?
