If you open a CMD prompt without administrator rights and execute
regsvr32 wic_heic.dll
you get a misleading "succeeded" message box, but you can't view HEIC fotos!

Only if you use a CMD prompt WITH admin rights the DLL works correctly.

Maybe you should set your PAUSE in the batch file BEFORE the above regsvr32 command, otherwise people (including me) just press Enter and wondering, why HEIC still can't be viewed...

And for the Installation instructions something like
-> Open command as admin (<- it's crucial!)

IrfanView throws an error trying to open an HEIC file in IrfanView 4.66 x64.

I had already rolled-back IrfanView to 4.58 but will try to return here with a screenshot.

Uninstall script not work.
In _uninstall.bat need a little change - closing single quote to double quote.
@regsvr32 /u "%~dp0wic_heic.dll' => @regsvr32 /u "%~dp0wic_heic.dll"
