azuresitereplicator's Issues

Expected root node to be 'publishData'

I set AzureSiteReplicator up for a site previously and it worked fine.
Now when I go to upload the Publish Settings file, I get an error:

Expected root node to be 'publishData'
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Xml.XmlException: Expected root node to be 'publishData'

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Stack Trace:

[XmlException: Expected root node to be 'publishData']
AzureSiteReplicator.Data.PublishSettings.Load(XPathNavigator nav) +1382
AzureSiteReplicator.Data.PublishSettings..ctor(Stream stream) +248
AzureSiteReplicator.Controllers.HomeController.Index(HttpPostedFileBase file) +80

The file looks like it's the correct format to me, I also tried renaming PublishData to publishData...
I got a little further but then got to this:

[XmlException: Could not find MSDeploy publish settings]
AzureSiteReplicator.Data.PublishSettings.Load(XPathNavigator nav) +1268
AzureSiteReplicator.Data.PublishSettings..ctor(Stream stream) +248
AzureSiteReplicator.Controllers.HomeController.Index(HttpPostedFileBase file) +80

Add support for getting publish profiles using a cert

The workflow would be something like:

  • Site replicator has option to create and download a cert
  • User uploads it to the subscription as a management cert
  • Now SiteReplicator can list available sites and automatically download publish profiles that the user selects

Azure web app not visible in new portal

Hi,

Forgive me if I have posted this issue in the incorrect place.. A number of my web apps that appear in the old azure management website are not appearing on in the new portal, the azure app service support website and in cloud explorer in visual studio. An example of one site experiencing such an issue is adisa.azurewebsites.net.

Seeing 'Update Pending' issues in the log files and replicator is replicating contents

Hi,

We installed replicator like month back and it was working fine. But all of sudden its started showing below messages in log:

2015/05/29-20:32:09:37 Verbose Source filePath (D:\home\site\wwwroot\media\1434\gluten-free-ginger-berry-crisp.txt) does not match destination (site name\Media\1434\gluten-free-ginger-berry-crisp.txt) differing in attributes (lastWriteTime['05/28/2015 18:45:50','01/01/1980 06:00:00']). Update pending.
2015/05/29-20:32:09:37 Verbose Source filePath (D:\home\site\wwwroot\media\1435\jamie_barry_boy_girl.jpg) does not match destination (site name\Media\1435\jamie_barry_boy_girl.jpg) differing in attributes (lastWriteTime['05/28/2015 18:45:50','01/01/1980 06:00:00']). Update pending.
2015/05/29-20:32:09:37 Verbose Source filePath (D:\home\site\wwwroot\media\1435\jamie_barry_boy_girl_thumb.jpg) does not match destination (site name\Media\1435\jamie_barry_boy_girl_thumb.jpg) differing in attributes (lastWriteTime['05/28/2015 18:45:50','01/01/1980 06:00:00']). Update pending.

And its no longer syncing the contents to other site.

Any ideas about what is happening?

Thanks for your help!

Sync Other Site\ folders?

I love your project!

Is it possible to sync folders other than site\wwwroot?

In my Azure Web App i'd like to replicate the site\wwwroot folder and the site<newfolder> to my other sites.

I couldn't find anywhere in the project that defines the folders sync'd.

Server Error in '/sitereplicator' Application

Hi,

I've been using this replicator extension for a while and was working as expected; but now when I added this extension to one of my website it doesn't replicate. When I dig in further, I don't see the "deploy.log" file created under "D:\home\data\SiteReplicator\mywebsite".

sitereplicator error.txt

Attached the log, Could you please help?

Thanks in advance!

Site-to-site Two-Way Replication

Hi David.
Your extension to replicate one azure web app to another is awesome.
May I ask: Would you think that two web apps, replicating to each other can cause problems?
Regards

No route registered for '/sitereplicator/'

When we try to run Site Replicator in our production App Service, we get the following error:

No route registered for '/sitereplicator/'

We followed all of the README.md instructions and ensured no "webpages:Enabled" app setting. We also tried un-installing and re-installing the extension.

That said, Site Replicator works great in our staging App Service. If relevant, the two major differences between production and staging are:

  • Production originally ran on the Premium tier. But we downgraded to the Standard tier to install Site Replicator.
  • Production runs across two instances.

Deployment to Azure web app display Error: fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://xxx.scm.azurewebsites.net:443/xxx.git/'

I am trying to deploy my node.js application to azure web app using Azure App Service management extension via vs code.
I succeeded to deploy this application many times until two days ago.
Since then I am getting the error log:

WARNING: Ignoring deploySubPath "." for non-zip deploy.
xxx: Starting deployment...
xxx: Deploying Local Git repository to "xxx"...
Error: fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://xxx.scm.azurewebsites.net:443/xxx.git/'

At the Azure portal under the Activity log I am getting:
Operation name: Publish Web App
Status: Succeeded

However, At the Deployment center -> Logs:
I cannot see the new deployment.

Any ideas for what should I do?
