Reason for making this sheet 🤔

A few months ago when I was desperately looking for an internship, a friend of mine suggested me to create a company list and start cold emailing the recruiters of those companies. So, I created a doc and gathered all the information about the product based companies that hire for Software Engineering roles. Things did change for me after this sheet. I was able to interview with various companies like Yellow Messenger, Spyne AI, Netomi, and recieved test link for companies such as Cred, Sharechat, American Express, and so on. Even if you don't get the opportunity, you will have a solid network of recruiters.

How to contact the recruiter 🗣

Suppose you want to connect with recruiters of Sharechat so these are steps which I used to follow:

Search Recruiter/Talent Acquistion/HR on linkedIn with the company tag as Sharechat 👀
Send them a personal invite with a message that I am looking for opportunities as an XYZ Intern and would love to talk about open roles with you 💬
If possible then send them en email wih your resume 📧
Repeat the above 2 steps with atleast 5-10 recruiters 🔁
Wait for them to accept your request and then talk to them about open roles. You just need a reply from one recruiter 😎

companylist's Issues

Add a section for HFTS and Hedge Funds and also change the overall rankings.

Hello, I suggest to add a section for trading firms/HFT and hedge funds like

Jane street
Citadel
Optiver
Two sigma
Graviton
Quadeye
Tower Reasearch
Alphagrep
..and more.

Some of the above names are present in the list but they are under the section 'Banks' which is wrong . Also I suggest to put these in 5 star level and hence change the overall ranking system by decreasing the stars of all the other sections by one. These companies should be at the top as their compensation is 2 - 5 times more than the highest paying tech companies and getting into them is much much harder than tech companies. These finance firms only takes the 'elite' and have both 'quant' and 'SWE' roles.

Duplicate Salesforce

Salesforce is listed under The Big Ones as well as under Others

Section change for Microsoft and Amazon.

Microsoft and Amazon should not be in the same section as Meta and Google as Microsoft compensation is very low , work and growth is very slow and the technical challenges/problem they solve are not interesting (except for only a few teams).

Amazon has very bad pip culture and is not at all desirable now. People only take it as backup.

Redeploy the website to vercel or netlify

Hi, the website deployed on heroku is not working,so I am requesting you to redeploy the website elsewhere.

Hotstar is not related to Fin-Tech or Banks

From line 72, Hotstar can be removed as it is neither related to fintech nor banks.

Adding local storage

Can someone work on adding local storage? If a user checks the checkbox then that should be stored every time he/she opens the web application.

One unicorn name is wrong

Please change Incertis to Icertis.

Change of section for Rubrik and Rippling.

Uber, Rubrik and Rippling should be in the same section as google/meta as they are highly sought after and people constantly move between faangs and these companies. Also they are very hard to get into, even harder than faang and their compensation is highest in India among tech companies. These companies have great culture, interesting problems to solve and they provide alot of opportunities to move to USA internally.

Add more Unicorns
