myfirstrepository's Issues

Hello World in Kotlin

Taking this ahead, we may write "hello world" in a language I've never run, i.e. Kotlin

Hello world program in Go

Lets take this forward with another language I've never coded. Write a hello world program in Go.

Add your first file

Add a welcoming file, just like one that might say Hello World, from your favourite language! Give a line by line explanation for it such that anyone who doesn't know that language but is acquainted to programming can understand.

Add PR Template

While there are so many issue in here, there isn't a proper path to guide to make sure the Pull request made contain details about the changes made. It is crucial to a healthy repository.
I do not wish to give a strict PR template format here so as to give you the creative license. Go on and make something beginner friendly, that covers the necessities, have some fun with it! ๐Ÿš€

Rename file

Even though Cpp.cpp is a very creative name, it would be nice to have something sensible. Try renaming it to something more relatable.

Print Hello World in Java

As I have been trying to learn Java lately, to would be nice to have a "Hello World" in here.
Learning constantly is key after all !

Kind of duplicate to #3

Add Learning Resources

What is a place welcoming to beginners that doesn't provide them with appropriate learning resources. This is not easy, as appropriate is important.
You need to add the resource along with

  1. Why is it resourceful ?
  2. What to expect from it ?
  3. How to make the most of it?

Add a folder for the same if not previously created.
Lets make this a better place for newcomers ๐Ÿš€

Make an ISSUE template for bugs

While this might not seem a repository susceptible to a lot of bugs, that just makes it more susceptible to them! I do not wish to give a strict Issue template format as well here so as to give you the creative license. Go on and make something which ensures an issue is understandable to beginners and experts alike, that covers the necessities, don't forget to have some fun with it! ๐Ÿš€

Add Issue template

These issues that I have created are also ill-formatted and mildly vague. We need a proper template to solve this as well. I do not wish to give a strict Issue template format as well here so as to give you the creative license. Go on and make something which ensures an issue is understandable to beginners and experts alike, that covers the necessities, don't forget to have some fun with it! ๐Ÿš€

Add Learning Paths

While getting started, most people are intrigued by the abundant amount of information and misinformation. While we would love to configure learning paths for all people who come across this repository, we would first want to give some headlines.

So go to the readme file

  1. Add heading Learning paths (if not already present)
  2. Add subheading of a learning path you have walked on. (if not already present)
  3. Add your suggestions, experiences and observation. (in a fresh bullet point)
  4. Devise a concise appropriate learning path. (in a fresh line of the previous bullet point)

Edit file

While it is interesting and a pretty common file to see, Hello World and change, edit that file to be more welcoming to some one who is actually on the stage of starting out (Basically writing the hello world program)
What you need to do is, give a line by line explanation for what does the code do.

Example

//Preprocessor directives, they get compiled first
#include<iostream> // This helps us utilise the headefile iostream {Input Output Stream}

Make a contribution

While this repository was created while "getting started", we would want to you to get started too! If its your first time here, you're welcome, make any contribution you like, and we will give you a befitting review in order to get you started. ๐Ÿ˜„

Print Hello World in Python

As I know a thing or two in Python, it would be cool to involve a "Hello World" in here.
Learning constantly is key after all !

Update Readme.md

This is named as MyFirstRepository, currently we'd like to populate it with first time codes, for different languages, and would later extend it to other first time stuff. This aims to be a reference of inspiration or a starting point to newcomers. The ones who are making their first repository ๐Ÿ˜‰

Write a welcoming Readme file for them.
