Even after the latest commits by @SRHudson (which made SPEC solve now cur(B)=mu*B), there is still another sign error - quite an important one.
When the poloidal flux is specified in the input file, SPEC solves the Beltrami equation with the poloidal flux equal to the negative of the provided one.
This can easily be tested running SPEC for the input slab test case
G1V02L0Fi.001.sp
which has pflux=0.27 as input poloidal flux for the first volume, but the output solution has pflux=-0.27.

With the last fix commited by @SRHudson, the code performs as expected, namely produces an output with poloidal flux equal to the prescribed in input (correct sign).
I have checked compilation and execution of xspec and dspec, single and multiple-proc, and verified that the running the test input files produces the same results as before for what the geometry of the interfaces is concerned.
The bug seems resolved.
