manuscript-template's Issues

MS Word version

This feels like something we need to do at this point - this shouldn't be too difficult.

Different types of abstracts

Currently the abstract is only a block of text. We might want to have three different abstract fields:

"structured-abstract": {
   "Location": "Worldwide",
   "Period": "1960-2020"
}
"itemized-abstract": [
  "Sentence 1",
   "Sentence 2"
]

For reasons of harmonization we might want to switch the name of the description field to abstract.

New metadata field for additional data

We may want to add some fields to metadata.json in order to link to OSF, etc. Something like

"seealso": [
   {"name:": "Code and data", "osf": "whatever"}
]

This can be added to the template as part of a section on availability, with fields for dryad, figshare, github, etc.

pdf

The gh-pages is created perfectly, however I cannot find the PDF. Where is it stored?

Supplementary material

For the moment there is no option to deal with supp. mat. This shouldn't be too hard, if we have a suppmat folder with .md files, and they get converted to a PDF document.

The raw data and codes will always be stored in an OSF project anyways, so it's not something we have to deal with as part of the supp. mat.

Abstracts not rendering

The new template seems to not be including abstracts across the board (.html, preprint .pdf, and draft .pdf).
