hitide-ui's Issues

Distinguish collections without Spatial Resolution (Not Applicable) versus an Error (Not Available)

We need to come up with a way of knowing what collections shouldn't have Spatial Resolution and mark them as Not Applicable. Need to talk with Jack more on this.

Notes from Jimmy:
With the code right now all I can tell is if the dataset resolution is missing. It doesn't inform me if it is missing because of an error or because it is not applicable to a dataset. If I had a formal list of the datasets where it is not applicable I would be able to cross reference it to differentiate between not applicable and not available. The ticket would be to implement this list for cross referencing. This was my thought process but let me know if I should be going a different route.

Collection Info (i) Icon loads dataset variables and Granule Availability chart very slowly without notifiying the user of loading

On each collection's info page (the i Icon), it loads the Dataset Variables and Granule Availability in the background. It is slow to populate, so it should at least display a "Loading..." message to notify the user that data is being populated. It also behaves very strangely when it's in the middle of loading and trying to use the Chart. Should wait until the full chart is done loading before displaying.

Collection variables not loading

Bug

  • when clicking on collection metadata variables don't show up other than "all"
  • when clicking on the "Select Extraction Variables" only "all" shows up and not the other in the collection of the granule

hitide-ui: Add Google Tag Manager to track Google Analytics

FYI: the ESDIS analytics team provided the Google tag manager code for inclusion to all of our web interfaces:
Place in the section of the page:

           <script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start’:
           new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],
           j=d.createElement(s),dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;j.src=
           'https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id='+i+dl;f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f);
           })(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-WNP7MLF');</script>

Place right after the opening tag

           <noscript><iframe src=https://www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=GTM-WNP7MLF
           height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden"></iframe></noscript>

in addition:

please NOTE: if we want to track events on the page (i.e. user clicks on the page) we would need to define custom Event tracking tag in the GA system. We can/will ask ESDIS Metrics team to provide training to us on how to create custom tags.

When adding MERGED_TP_J1_OSTM_OST_CYCLES_V52 to HiTIDE UAT it breaks HiTIDE, update HiTIDE to not fail when this happens but make a warning

For some reaason when adding MERGED_TP_J1_OSTM_OST_CYCLES_V52 to UAT MMT for HiTIDE UAT, HiTIDE has an error:
"Unable to load configuration, initial dataset listing not found."

Please investigate why this happens, and fix the issue.
And also update HiTIDE so it doesn't completely break the UI, but just gives warnings.
Like a pop up that says could not load these collections:

or on the collections list of the count, add another item for failed collections, like

81 collections, 1 error

and have it so you can hover over the error and see which collections are failing.

Fix/SWOT resolution data

SWOT resolution data is under two resolutions so it is not displaying correctly when clicking the info button for the collection in hitide ui.
