part of issue related to settings being overwritten has been fixed

7hrs print time marlin 1.1 vs 5.75 hrs klipper vs 5 hrs Prusa FW(Marlin 1.0.2)
m900 k45 set in print file, need to rerun test with it commented out
default feedrates and accels match prusa, same test file, ostensibly same motor settings as klipper
expect marlin 1.1 to match klipper time
from marlin.
print time was still 7 hrs.
prusa config has tcoolthrs settings configured. tmc2130 datasheet page 60: above this velocity(units not stated) coolstep and stallguard are enabled and stealthchop voltage pwm mode is disabled(meaning spreadcycle is enabled?)
added in dc55138.
need to run test print to verify

print time still 7 hours. may be easier/better to enable stealthchop(explictly) and add hybrid threshold. tpwmthrs is set to 0 and thigh set to 0 in prusa settings, not having these might cause logic to fail.

print time 7hrs. hybrid threshold at default marlin values; only hit during travel moves and infill. printer comes to stop at corners on external perimeters meaning stealthchop is not configured correctly. some noise during some z hop moves, z axis should probably be left in stealthchop due to low speeds(same as prusa config). Threshold values should be lowered greatly for speed increase and likely better operation per trinamic guidelines.

audible thunk when starting infill lines changing hybrid threshold on e from 30 to 20 to 15 didn't solve, reset to 30. changing y threshold from 24 to 20 to 15 to 10 to 8 to 5 softened sound. changing x threshold from 24 to 20 to 15 to 10 8 to 5 softened sound more. noticeable speed increase on infill.
print time 7:02, threshold changes happened at ~Z3 out of 21. savings of a couple minutes at most.

turned off stealthchop and hybrid threshold, setting x and y to high_r_sense(same as klipper and prusa fw), 7:02 print time, lower noise comparable to klipper. printer still stopping at outer perimeter corners(only ones with no chamfer?).

turning on junction deviation put print time in low 5h range and print quality is good. motors are adequately tuned
