Question about the connector

Hello,

First of all, thanks for making this project available for us all!

I'll solder the connectors myself, and ordered the rest from JLCPCB, however I have a question.

At the current state, the connectors are mid mount, so I was wondering would either of this as a connector work? Which one should I pick? The connectors I have are through hole, so I wanted to buy a batch, but wanted to ensure they fit properly (same profile as M-13B).

Can you confirm please? Would this work? If so, which one?

Thanks in advance!

are gerbers ok (v3.2)

I am looking into printing few of these i upload the single board and choose panelise by pcb 4x2 but then when they show me the parts placements looks like this, notice usb type c not in place... similar if I choose the panelized version from the repo.

also i notice my replacement nor does not show.. i went with this, C5258281, this check with them

Suggestion: Make a stamp hole panel variant

Hello,

I'm currently producing this board, and I choose economics for parts placements, considering I will solder the connectors myself. When I do like it, the v-cut makes it 20 usd more expensive for production.

As an alternative, JLCPCB suggested using stamp holes, and updated my gerber like this:

pcb update gerber

So, when I decide to solder the connector myself, and use stamp holes instead of v-cut, it's almost $1 cheaper per module when you get 30 modules, just because of the selections.

I'd appreciate if this could be considered for future releases.

Thanks again for making this board available, can't wait to hold on the prototypes 😊

3d model

is there a 3d model available?

About KMK

How should this board support kmk?
I use it as a Raspberry Pi Pico, nothing happens after flashing the uf2 file of CircuitPython 7.3.2,
What should I do to make it work like a Raspberry Pi Pico, or make him kmk compatible

Which version of CircuitPython to be flashed ?

Currently building a Lily58 PRO with Splinky as the controller.

Stuck at writing the firmware to the board.

Which version of CircuitPython needs to be flashed for setting up KMK ?

From the firmware downloads page I have tried the following : Adafruit KB2040, Sparkfun Pro Micro RP2040 and even the Raspberry Pi Pico.

None of the seem to work and the device boots back named just RPI-RP2 rather than CIRCUIT-PY or similar as it does in the RPI Pico board.

Any help on setting up the Lily58 keyboard would be appreciated.

It doesn't work for one pin on the splinky board.

Hello,
I flashed qmk on Splinky and it was worked fine. But suddenly the keys in the bottom row didn't work, so I checked and they were all keys connected to one pin, D9.

I connected another splinky board and my keyboard worked fine. I thought something went wrong while using the magic key code that write something on the eeprom so I reset the eeprom, but the problem doesn't go away.

How can i solve it? Is there a problem with the soldering of Arduino?

Switch USB-C to M-13

Because the M-14 is not available at all anymore at JLC, it would be nice to switch to M-13.

I will take a look at this on the BKB fork

Alternative NOR flash

Since the main model of NOR flash seems to be unavailable, there is other models with more or less storage, that are a drop in replacement?

While compiling for QMK, what are the AVR pin definitions for bottom rows?

Hello,

While we compile a QMK (and ZMK) Firmware for the splinky boards, we tried GPIO values for bottom row pins.

If we use GP12...GP16 and use -e CONVERT_TO=promicro_rp2040 it gives undefined error for GP12...GP16 pin definitions.

What are the values for bottom row pins for AVR ? Is it pin-compatible with Elite-C?

Elite-C for reference:

Thanks in advance!

About Bom

Hello,this is a great project

I want to try to make a board myself

Could you please provide the bom sheet related to this project?

This will help me a lot, thanks

Flashing

hello, in order to use the splinky with QMK what should i flash the board with?
I am struggling to find firmware that works with it, so far only micropython https://micropython.org/download/rp2-pico/ , which is non-hid compliant and cannot be used with QMK toolbox. QMK is also unable to compile in UF2 files,
