not totally sure what is happening there. Could be related to the rule execution order? (#42)

@Liong1976 Could you try to create a smaller example file (ideally only 2 footnotes), and also set the linter settings to use only move-footnotes-to-the-bottom or re-index-footnotes (whichever causes the issue)?

That would make it easier to pin down what exactly is causing the issue.

It still added one more footnote, even though I only used two commands:

  1. move-footnotes-to-the-bottom
  2. re-index-footnotes

Found the issue, have committed a fix in PR #65.

Should be fixed in the next release, until then you can simply deactivate move-footnotes-to-the-bottom since that rule causes the issue.
