Hello,
I would like to use HotkeyP with several keyboards, but I would like to assign certain hotkeys to a specific keyboard.
Example: The main keyboard is used without hotkeys and a 2nd 1-hand keyboard (gaming keyboard) is assigned the corresponding macros. Currently, HotkeyP cannot distinguish between different keyboards, so a created hotkey would be executed on both keyboards.

There is a software called HIDmacros (also available here on Github - https://github.com/me2d13/hidmacros) for which development has been discontinued. This program can distinguish between different keyboards and thus one keyboard can be addressed specifically, while the other remains unaffected.

Is it possible to integrate this functionality into HotkeyP so that different macros can be programmed for different keyboards?

Can we expect an update in this direction?

Hey there,
I am getting some failures and weird behaviour in Espanso with HotkeyP active. When I disable it, Espanso works fine.
Some of the triggers work and then some don't while HotkeyP is active.
Anything I can check in HotkeyP that might interfere with this?

I'm interested in using the spy.exe, that should be bundled with this application.
Yet, I cannot find it in the latest release files (v4.10) from Sourceforge (32b and 64b zip-files).
Also the HotkeyP doesn't seem to include such functionality.
The "Whatsnew.txt" still mentions it for v4.8 and it should work for 64-bit now!?

Is it not available anymore?
I can see the project files and code for it in this repository, but where is the binary release of it?

I have the problem. The antivirus program like the trend micro give this hotkeyp.exe block. So if you can make packaging installation EXE or MSI is better to an installation, the in windows

A few weeks ago, I created a hotkey using HotkeyP to easily paste a long text that I often use as a prompt for ChatGPT. The keyboard shortcut I assigned was Alt+\ while the parameter is the prompt text.

Yesterday, I tried to change some words in that prompt text, but I couldn't figure out why the text remained unchangeable. Even though I deleted all hotkeys and created a new one, the problem is still unresolved.

Today, I decided to remove HotkeyP completely from my pc in the hope that the keyboard shortcut would return to normal and stop pasting the prompt text. However, after restarting my pc, I found that every time I press the shortcut, it still pastes the same prompt text.

Please help me how I can remove this hotkey so that I can assign a new hotkey using the same keyboard shortcut.

Currently I use this a lot with other programs to remember shortcuts etc.

I love it because it's fast. I use something similar but it's too slow...I started using it because I could choose a nice font and change the size of the message text. It would be great to have a little more control in HotkeyP.
