bibtools's Issues

Extend README with examples of usage

The project seam very interesting, would be nice to help people to more easly try it to add some lines on the readme with some simple examples of usage that underline the main features of the package.

Cache expiration!

My "caches" all grow without bound! Ditto for the recent-usage history.

avoid dups in autolearn

If we autolearn, need to gather as many identifiers as possible to see if we match something already in the database.

Undoubtedly this should go at a slightly lower level in terms of normalization, massaging, dup-checking, etc. before we insert new pubs into the database.

Percent shortcuts for "bib rq"

Or something along those lines, so you can easily reference the n'th result of a "bib rq" command. The trick is that the results won't be in the database, and we don't want to automatically add them all or anything.

Blessing / canonicalization

Auto-assign a nickname. Fetch as much info as possible and make sure that we don't have duplicates. Fill in reference data as well as we can.
