Did you try the approach to bypassing Windows scaling described here: #41?

The first filename on the command line is to the left.

You can also scale the window size by using the -w option (e.g. -w 1280x).

Restarting is not supported (see #15). However, there's a workaround for videos no longer than 32767 frames. You can apply the FFmpeg loop filter on both videos like this:

video-compare -l loop=-1:size=32767:start=0 -r loop=-1:size=32767:start=0 video1.mp4 video2.mp4

This creates an infinite loop.
