spt's Issues

How do I pass a “critical” argument for notify-send?

I want the notification to stay instead of disappearing every 10 seconds (in case Im doing something outside for a while).

By passing the flag -u critical using notify-send the notification should not disappear only if I clicked it, but I don't know how and where to place the command. So, how do I pass the -u critical command to spt?

Thanks in advance!

Can't play alarm

Hello, thanks for the app, it's really helpful. But, i need a help, since I can't play any sound with it. I've read that playing sound is supported on the man page though. This command only gives me the notification:

11-02-2020_05:28:22

Did i do anything wrong? I've tried to use a different file extension too.
I'm using:

  1. spt v0.5 builded from the maste and btw the pkg from the Void Linux gives the same result too.
  2. PulseAudio

Thanks in advance!

Semantics: notifyext

To improve the man page wording of notifyext, and notifycmd: what is the semantics of ext? external, or extra?
Source code says "extra", but conventionally ext would mean external.

Pause timer

I am opening this issue since we started this discussion in my fork but I think this is the best place to continue.

So far we agree that Ctrl+z or SIGTSTP and SIGCONT is not a good solution since when stopped the process does not respond to SIGUSR1.

Maybe we can use SIGUSR2 to as a pause/play signal?
eg SIGUSR2 pauses if the timer is running, resumes if timer is paused.
