No way to exempt community apps

Was looking to exempt home-assistant from community apps, and it seems like there is no way to exempt community apps in the script.

Pgshield.sh

phase31 which is where the list is formed in pgshield.sh also has a comment about listing apps that are not installed (why would they be up for exemption? .. is this a old comment? or does the code do the wrong thing.

Unable to manipulate Core Apps

They way the appexempt() function currently runs is to call _appgen.sh for each set of apps. However _appgen.sh overwrites the output file with the current pipeline. Line 98 executes and outputs a list of Core apps to the app.list file, then Line 99 executes and overwrites the file again such that single core apps can't be chosen.

I modified the _appgen.sh files to output to stdout rather than a file and changed the appexempt() function to pipe that output to file and sort as a fix. However that required forking 3 repos.
