“The Chronicle of Matthew of Edessa” (ChronicleME) online digital critical edition.
Implement a cover page for the edition that is accessible off of the main menu. This page includes an abstract and a grid of thumbnail cards that lead into the sections of the Chronicle. (Prologue, Section 1-3). For now, all of these cards should link to the Year 401.
can docker be set up to make deployment of this code simpler? - it looks like it was work was started at some point
Each section should have its own stable URL. The URL should update as the user navigates from section to section.
site should collapse into mobile phone layout and tablet
will be a list of Readings Plus, Lemma Text and Translation
Add a search bar to the top right corner of the main menu. When the user enters a search term here and presses the return key, they are taken to the search results page.
The previous and next buttons in the edition reading interface can be obscured by the graph when the reading text is scrolled.
When one has clicked on a passage in the translation to highlight it in boththe translation and the originals, one cannot unhighlight the passage; one can only highlight a different passage. Perhaps this is intended.
The Home page should display a brief introductory paragraph follow by a separator and then the first section of the Chronicle. Buttons at the bottom should make it easy for the user to continue reading.
Highlighting options work, but if the user then moves to a new page, those elements are not highlighted unless the user unchecks and then rechecks the options.
Moving to a new page should automatically redetect those terms and highlight them.
Highlighting between the translation and the text still seems incorrect, highlight discontiguous blocks of text.
The graph should be off when the user first encounters the reading interface. They can then turn it on.
add check box to display options to enable - highlighting of Dates in the text - dates are highlighted in green
when graph is not displayed text should fill the remaining area
Clarifies that this is only the translation of the lemma text and not of another witness to the text.
selected text is highlighted in yellow, the corresponding graph nodes should also be yellow
For each manuscript transcription, take the TEI XML and display it using the CETEIcean (https://github.com/TEIC/CETEIcean) library. Each Manuscript Card on the Manuscripts page should have a "Read" button next to the "Download" button which leads to this interface.

Methods - page should be copied from above url
add check box to highlight Persons mentioned in the text, and highlight the corresponding text in the designated color for persons - Red
if possible graph should also reflect highlight
Display the section titles for both the Armenian and the English text of the edition.
this was aleady a ticket, however I misunderstood the requirement, and was only trying to get buttons to scroll without seeming to go through the header - fixed position would be a further improvement - and I think was what was intended in the original ticket
From original home page issue:
The Home page should display a brief introductory paragraph follow by a separator and then the first section of the Chronicle. Buttons at the bottom should make it easy for the user to continue reading.
selecting a word - will deselect any previous
selecting a word, inside a sentence already highlighted by clicking on translation, will highlight with an additional color - use text color for words, and background color for sentences perhaps
add check box to Display Options
to highlight the Place with blue color - corresponding graph node as well if possible
the year 456 - for example
The graphic design should adopt the typography, color choices, and top level navigation of the edition site: https://editions.byzantini.st/ChronicleME/ . The top level nav should be limited to the following options: "Home", "Edition", and "Visualizations"
Display the search results for a given search query in Armenian or in English. Search results should be organized by section.
The section page should have previous and next buttons, allowing the reader to page through the different sections of the Chronicle.
Need controls or help text that indicates how to zoom the graph on the Edition Reading Interface.
generate html version of the manuscripts using https://github.com/TEIC/CETEIcean
when all the other data files are generated
selecting a rank on histogram should zoom graph to that rank
should also highlight the word at that rank in any armenian text
there are many types of selection - we might want to specify a list of all the expected behaviours to review
ie - select a sentence in english - it highlights everywhere else
select a node on the graph - and it highlights in the text if its there
( if you highlight a node from witness B and you are looking at witness C - it might not be in the C text - but the graph should indicate where things split off )
and more... this could use better definition,
