bleemsync's Issues

How do I know what to call executable files?

Hey. I noticed that in the catalog with specific games they must be named after the word "SLUS" and some numbers after that. I downloaded several PSX games from the network, which have bin and cue files in the directory, but all are named as image.cue or image.bin. How can I know how to name games so that they can be read in the PS Classic console? I do not know the numbers given by the SLUS name to know what to call it.

Reset from controller combination?

Would it be possible to add a way to reset the console (i.e. go back to the main UI screen) from a button combination, without having to press the reset button on the console?

USB maker

can someone explain why the size/maker of USB stick matters? I like to get a working 128gb but I can't even get a 16 or 32gb San Disk working. Only 2 or 4gb no name brand sticks seem to work. Any Clues?

Stock games dont start after putting a comma in game.ini

I can see the stock games, but it doesnt do anything when i select it. i think it happwned after i accidenrly put a comma in a game.ini file title name. ive rerun bleemsync afterwards but no games play after they are selected.

Won't boot to USB Drive

My USB drive won't boot to the hacked items.

I'm posting the details from the regional file in the system folder, maybe someone understands what's going on. I'm using the Sandisk Cruzer USB 2.0 drive. Below are some of the details in the reigional file:

Build 0.2.1 - no sound or controls in any game

Deleted everything from my USB except game folder, added all the new 0.2.1 files, then updated my game folder to the new structure.

When I turn on the system, the Sony jingle works. Then there's control but no sound on the main UI menu. Then on loading a game, no sound or controls.

Copy pasted all my pcsx.cfgs in GameData from the ones in your zip. Also tried Initialising Console too, same result.

(I don't have any of the .lic files in the game folder like in your zip file. Not sure what they are or if they're needed)

EDIT: Someone suggested to leave the menu open for about a minute then sounds will appear, but I had no luck with that.

adding disk with tracks

I dont know if this is a issue but unable to add games with disk 1 (trakc1) and (trakc2).

Overmounted entries still use the built-in memory card/save state locations

Right now when saving to a memory card or saving a save state, the entries are stored on the built-in memory.

Loaded one entry onto USB, played until I could save, saved to memory card slot 1. Pressed the reset button on the console to return to menu and saved the state. Powered down the console, unplugged, removed USB stick, plugged in the power, started up the console, and the game of the same gameID had a save from the other game, as well as the save state.

I'm pretty sure this is a known issue and something you plan to address but I figured I'd mention it.

Max games add?

How many games can I install with this trick? Do you change the info in the Playstation Classic? Or do you keep original?

Can't add more than 9 games

If you try to add more than 9 games, you get this error:

Unhandled Exception: System.Exception: Your games directory structure is invalid. Make sure that folders are named as a whole number (e.g. 1, 2, 3) and there are no gaps in the sequence

As it reads 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 2 etc etc

Renaming folder 01, 02, 03 etc does not work

Consistency and memory issues

So im not exactly sure whats happening with my USB but when i first load the files onto it everything shows up and looks good but after i start Final Fantasy 8 up it all works good and the minute i save the game i have to make 2 save files because one of them always becomes corrupt and damaged and when i hit the reset button to go back to the screen all the games disappear from the hub. I have to reload the files onto the USB to get my games back but after i do one of my saves are corrupt. I also get crashes when i even try to use the emulator settings at all. Its very inconsistent in general. Im not even sure where to start with the pile of problems im coming across. I want to help you guys so anything you need tell me i could do what i normally do and upload my files from what i get once it crashes because i can tell theres errors im just not sure why. Also im using a mixture of 0.3.0 and 0.3.1 because for some reason 0.3.1 by itself basically makes my playstation classic not even know the usb is plugged in but all the other releases worked in terms of my playstation classic recognizing it.

I still have a black screen

Good evening,
I use version 0.3.1 and since my microSD 64 GB is no longer detect the console while with the version 0.2.2 I have no problem. I tested with another 64 GB USB same thing as my microSD, with the 32 GB I have a black screen

boot.log
killall: ui_menu: no process killed

Cover art image does not display for entries past #20

  • I loaded 22 games onto a USB stick, file structure proper and intact as shown in the new updated instructions.
  • Ran BleemSync, verified all entries correct in regional.db. Inserted stick into PS Classic, attached AC cable and powered on to find that entries #21 and #22 are not showing the cover art image.
  • Tried replacing the images with ones that are displaying correctly to confirm the images themselves are not at fault; can confirm that even with the images replaced, the cover art images for the last two entries (#21 and #22) are not shown.

It worked

The usb slot is very picky I used a San disk cruiser drive 8/16/32 it works! and I notice that you have to erase the bleemsync folder in the root of the usb for it to work! Cheers thank you
P.S tell everybody this that has trouble!

new Version BleemSync 0.3.0 wont start

So i tried the new Version BleemSync 0.3.0, but no luck to Start, only the Sony PSX Boot logo appears, after that: black screen. I tried new USB Stick with no games on it, but no luck to. Tried another stick: same result. Old 0.2.2 Version still boots up. Oh: Win7 Version tried.. wont work under Win 10? But BleemSync.exe still do its work.

Gran Turismo 2 change discs

Gran Turismo 2 had an arcade and a simulation mode disc, both separate, I can't change to start with the simulation disc, it only allows me to use the arcade disc. How do I change it to start with the simulation disc?

Bypass LibCrypt protection (.sbi)

Hello,
I have tried to play to the PAL version of medievil, but this game was protected. It request a sbi file to unlock the protection. Should I put this file in GameData folder ? A lot of PAL games are concerned by this limitation.
Thanks

Enhancement Request: Ability to save emulator settings

It would be nice to be able to save/commit emulator settings for when powering off and back on console to include NTSC region to fix games and scanlines. And/or create a secondary emulator settings config to be able to choose which to load upon launching or roll back if issues with changes made

Add Triangle+Select Menu access

Will you add this to your config so you can access menu? Tested on my console and works well.

#Access Esc Menu from Select + Triangle on controller
sleep 5s
export PCSX_ESC_KEY=2

Here is the lolhack I am using with this function added.
lolhack.zip

2nd Controller over USB Hub

When BleemSync is used, 2nd usb port is used. Although we can attach the joystick to a powered usb hub together with the BleemSync USB disk, we cannot use the second controller in the game.

After some digging, I suspect that it's the udev rule file which configure the sym link that causing the PCSX-rearmed not recognizing the 2nd controller in game.

File: /etc/udev/rules.d/20-joysticks.rules

KERNEL=="js*",SUBSYSTEMS=="input",ATTRS{phys}=="usb-musbfsh-hdrc.0-1.2/input0",SYMLINK+="input/joystick1"

Configuration Pcsx

I had launch The king of fighter 95 but not compare the figures on screen. I tried to launch with gpghax enter in emulator press "select+ triangle" and select "gpu_peops.so" and its ok.

How can i modify the file psx.cfg?

PBP compatibility

Since the emu will play PBP no problems, does your script accept such file or its only cue/bin combo ?

Base games show, usb drive ignored?

Followed the steps but my USB isn't being detected and it just shows the base system games on startup.
Used a FAT32 usb named 'SONY' in port 2 and have done plug-remove startup. Using a PAL PS Classic (if relevant)

Thanks

hi

hostfxr.dll failed to load

I noticed when trying to run the BleemSync.exe off the usb drive, it would immediately close down. After running it through the cmd prompt, I get this error:

Failed to load the dll from [Z:\New folder\psclassic\BleemSync\BleemSync\hostfxr.dll], HRESULT: 0x80070057
The library hostfxr.dll was found, but loading it from Z:\New folder\psclassic\BleemSync\BleemSync\hostfxr.dll failed

I installed those prerequisites and yet the issue continues to happen. Ideas?

It's possible to enter into emulator in game for set cheats or memory card?

How to restore system

Hello,

i tried to unistall and restore system console using gpghax, but after that 7 stock games not working.
I had create 7 folder games before
filelist (1).log

System region changed?

Ran the exploit and now I think my system believes it is Japanese, the default language was set to Japanese and my Enter button is set to O.

Run BleemSync on console boot

With .NET Core we should be able to run this on the system at boot. It might be worth it to keep a Win/Mac/Linux version for potential future integrations, but this should be a priority after major bugs have been taken care of.

Not verying anything

I tried 4hrs for getting the menu showing in psx and its not showing or loading my customs games. Yes I download mine from release page and no luck. Help??

Some Custom game not working

I have install 7 games but some game not working as like "Winning Eleven 4" "Winning Eleven 2002" (black screen or Gran Turismo (EU and US versione) there are more glitch.
What can i do?
