And once you have those associations, what do you expect the app to do? Choosing either VPN profile according to the network you're connected to?

Yes that is correct.
The main feature I actually want is for the app to use a particular DNS server when on wifi and a different one when on cellular, but it seems like a more generic version of the request is a selecting VPN configs based on what network you are connected to.

Very hard to implement given how the tunnel extension is made today, but something I'll consider if refactoring TunnelKit. Thanks for your report!
