Bundle Dell Mini 9 / Vostro A90 WWAN Modem Script

For the Dell Mini 9 / Vostro A90 WWAN (Dell 5530) to work out of the box, the
attached modem
script (courtesy of Ross Barkman, mobilebroadbandrocks.com) needs to be
installed in
<code>/Library/Modem Scripts/</code>

The user then needs to select this modem script in the network preference pane
and put their
APN in the phone number box to connect. Debug messages are sent to the console.

It would be preferable if NetbookInstaller could automatically install this
script on Mini 9s /
Vostro A90s.

<code>ioreg | grep "5530 HSPA"</code>

returns nothing if there is no WWAN module installed, although I doubt this
check is necessary as
the script doesn't do anything unless the user selects it and tries to connect,
and the script itself
is very small (<10Kb)

Add support for mini10vs using the mini10's Elantech touchpad

Suggested Enhancement: I know those of us who have done the swap are in the
minority and thus low priority, but since you're going to be reworking the
synaptics driver in the near future, it'd be nice to have
configurations/drivers for the mini10's Elantech multi-touch touchpad as well.

By default, OSx seems to see this touchpad as a regular mouse and therefore
allows very basic configuration through the mouse prefpane. Ideally, it'd
be a nice enhancement to allow access to the same touchpad prefpane used
for multi-touch macintoshes, but added support for this trackpad to your
synaptics prefpane would be acceptable.

What netbook are you using this on?
Mini10v using .8.2 and OSx 10.5.8

What works out of the box:
* Single finger tap to click is 100% reliable.
* Two finger scrolling works as expected.
* Two-finger taps seems to act as a middle mouse click.
* Three-finger taps brings up the right click context menu.
* Double-tapping to drag.
* Hardware buttons work without any of the jumpiness of the of the stock
10v touchpad.

Features needed for macintosh multitouch parity:
* Three finger flicks - flick left = go back/to the left/next page/etc,
flick right = go forward/to the right/next page/etc.
* Four finger flicks - left/right switches apps (brings up the cmd+tab
interface), flick down hides all apps (just like expose), and flick up
shows them all (expose show all windows).
* Rotation gestures - rotate two fingers on the trackpad to rotate stuff.
* Pinch gestures - zoom in/out

Threads about the switch:

I'd be willing to help with any further information you may need as well as
any beta testing. As always, thank you meklort for all the hard work!

Installation fails on Compaq Mini 700

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create install media as instructed for Snow Leopard
2. Boots installer, hangs at "remaining 7 minutes"

Computer is Compaq Mini 700 (similar to HP Mini 1000), stock 60 Gb disk, 2Gb
RAM, installing
from a partition on a USB drive.

Booted ok, everything seems to work at first glance, partitioned the disk and
started the install,
until it hangs, while waiting for a file.

Log shows "OSInstaller [154] : /postinstall : cp :
/Volumes/ramdisk/dsdt/latest_dsdl.dsl : No
such file or directory" repeatedly, as happened to LeMaurien19.

Computer just sits there at the 7 min mark, working, but not proceeding the
installation.

(All) Enable Remote CD doesn't work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run NetbookInstaller
2. Ensure Enable RemoteCD is checked
3. Install

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
RemoteCD should be enabled for the running (or every) user.

-- This does not work because remote cd is a preference option for each user.
The easiest fix for
this is to edit each /Users/ directory and enable RemoteCD there.
Unfortunately, this cannot be
done from the install dvd + NetbookInstallerCLI as users have not been created
yet.

Tap to click unreliable

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. use the trackpad to put the cursor over an icon/window/menu etc.
2. Tap.

What netbook are you using this on?
Mini 10v

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tap or double-tap should click or double click.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RC4 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.
At first I thought the trackpad wasn't registering the taps, then it seemed
that the drivers are expecting the tap to come in exactly the same location
that you stopped your finger while moving the cursor, but it just seems tap
to click is unreliable and it sometimes takes two or three taps before it
will register regardless of the method I use. I haven't come up with 100%
reliable steps to reproduce this behavior, but I have a habit of moving the
cursor, lifting my finger and then tapping in a place that isn't exactly
the same, but relatively close to the position from which it was first
lifted. The drivers don't seem to register this more often than not
(perhaps the driver thinks I'm continuing the drag?).

Installed fakesmcV2.kext (swapping with old one in /extra/mini10vext) then
run UpdateExtra. At reboot got straight a kp due to

loaded in /E/Extensions.mkext

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Looks like a bug or something; using kextcache (ran it from install
terminal) command allow me to boot back (the extensions.mkext is only 2Mb
at this point) but with bad graphics, no airport...due to missing kext
dependencies.
Fortunatly I had a backup of my extra folder.
So basically what commands are run by updateExtra?
