firesearch-sdk's Introduction

Firesearch developer kits

Firesearch SDK, client libraries, and example code.

  • The Firesearch API is approaching v1, until then these clients should be considered in beta

Firesearch is a serverless full text search solution

Clients

Firesearch clients allow you to interact with your instances via Firesearch's API.

A simple way to integrate with Firesearch without dependency management is to copy the client files directly into your own project.

Go

To use the official Go client:

go get github.com/pacedotdev/firesearch-sdk/clients/go/firesearch
  • The Go client is maintained as a Go module

More Examples

More examples would help people from different backgrounds explore Firesearch more easily.

E.g.

  • Migration/usage docs for people using Solr

Dart Client

Flutter is becoming a popular framework for writing cross-platform Mobile and Desktop apps. And Firebase is a popular database used in mobile app development. It would be nice to have a Dart client.

How to use ngrams in search

TLDR: I'm trying to search by the ngram tokens but that doesn't seem to be working.

I created a document that has a date as a search field. I noticed that the date has some ngram tokens. For example, the date 2021-05-11 gets these tokens:

Screen Shot 2021-04-24 at 8 52 39 AM

However, I don't get any results back when I search using those tokens.

Is it allowed to search by the ngram tokens? If so, is there some configuration we need to tweak?

PS. I'm using the default values for the index:

createIndexReq := firesearch.CreateIndexRequest{
		Index: firesearch.Index{
			IndexPath:     fmt.Sprintf("firesearch/indexes/%s", indexName),
			Name:          name,
			Language:      "english",
			KeepStopWords: false,
			CaseSensitive: false,
			NoStem:        false,
		},
	}
