Getting Started

Prerequisites: Python 3.9.0.

$ git clone https://github.com/outono-org/startup-jobs.git

$ cd startup-jobs

$ python3 -m venv venv              # Create a virtual environment.

$ source venv/bin/activate          # Activate your virtual environment.

$ pip install -r requirements.txt   # Install project requirements.

$ export FLASK_APP=app.py

$ export FLASK_ENV=development      # Enable hot reloading, debug mode.

$ flask run

The app will only work locally when the debug is enabled due to Flask-talisman, which forces all connects to https.

The default content security policy is extremely strict and will prevent loading any resources that are not in the same domain as the application. Here are some examples on how to change the default policy.

Setting up the database

Create a .env file in the root directory of your project and connect the app to a MongoDB atlas cluster.

Handle large file upload error

Right now, when a user uploads a photo that is too big, this is the page currently being displayed:

I should replace that page with a more user friendly UI element.

Homepage categories are not showing the most recent jobs

I'm approaching the problem with the wrong solution. By slicing the lists I'm only getting the first 5 items of the lists which are ordered by oldest entry first. Need to fix my models.

Column gap not working on Safari

The column-gap property doesn't seem to work on Safari.
As we can see, there's no gap between the logo and the beta tag. There's also no gap between the form and the aside section:
