For "Newbies" I would like to create a quick start document for openstreetmap.in :) I would be happy to take this task as I am myself learning this whole process from scratch. We can have docs using MKDOCS or any other tools.

Need indic langauge maps only for the names.

No of translations would improve if we can showcase indic language maps.

The renumbered national highway numbers are becoming quit confusing as signboards on the ground are slowly getting upgraded.

We need the render both the ref and ref:old numbers like NH66/NH16

Is it possible to load this tilelayer in a leaflet.js map? If so, please share the code!

The existing map on the homepage https://openstreetmap.in/ is generated using outdated mapbox-streets-v5 tiles that are no longer synced with OSM data #30

This should be updated to use the latest mapbox-streets-v8 tiles that are synced with OSM.

The Pan is restricted to India boundaries since it is .in I believe. However it makes it difficult to zoom into the extremities of our nation without a 'Jump to Location' search. It would also be difficult for non-trackpad users to zoom in.

If you visit https://openstreetmap.in/, you will see that the certificate expired on 28th June

Since OSM maps can be used via various libraries and platforms, it would be useful to show examples of how one can customize the India boundaries in each:

• Leaflet #32
• Mapbox GL
• Openlayers

I just stumbled on your project after a related question was asked on the OpenStreetMap help forums.

Having used Leaflet, I know that the default map comes with an OpenStreetMap attribution, which it is possible to remove, but shouldn't be.

You appear to have chosen to remove attribution from the map, except for the hardcoded Leaflet mention.

Don't you think that you should give credit to OSM contributors? Also an attribution to Mapbox, on whose imagery your tiles are based I believe, would probably be welcome.

my recommendation would be use the jekyll build gh-pages deploy and wire it up as a Github Action https://github.com/marketplace/actions/jekyll-deploy-gh-pages - I'll do it this weekend and then we can have @satyaakam point the cname to the github DNS.

This would enable seamless updates to the live site directly from github.

Our team created a map to track the coronavirus spread using Openstreet map, however, users complain it does not have the India borders updated. The site is having about 4 million visits per day.

• What do you recommend us in this scenario?
• Can we use this Map and the API key available in this repository?
