Just would like to know whether OrientDB is Active and Competing, I am not getting any response from their community forum, also no reply from their enquiries email, and couldn't find much in stack overflow in last 2-3 years. You elastic connection is not updated for any new.

Just concerning whether to evaluate OrientDB for my work or not?

Is there a way to add user authentication or https options in the settings if using an elasticsearch plugin such as shield or search-guard?

I have already created ticket for this on orientdb google group but there still no response.

Please help me to get this plugin working. its blocker for us.

We followed now the new instructions from:
https://github.com/orientechnologies/orientdb-elasticsearch/blob/master/README.md

The jar was successfully built. Also I configured orientdb-config.xml and elastic-search-config.json and made sure that the ES server is reachable from the OrienDB server.

A few seconds after the severs started I am getting in the OrientDB webui a message that the server is disconnected - but no message in the logs which indicates any error.

Any advice how to proceed?

OrientDB: 2.2.7
orientdb-elasticsearch: 2.2.8

orientdb-elasticsearch depends on elasticsearch which depends on lucene
orientdb has lucene dependencies also.

It seems that following the build and install mechanism in the Readme of orientdb-elasticsearch plugin the orientdb-elasticsearch-*-dist.jar contains different versions of lucene which gets in confling with the ones from server.

can you explain more what this plugin will do ?

Is this just a elasticsearch for sync other ES nodes ? Or does it run a complete Elasticsearch, reactable via port 9200 (and the http port) at the same node like orientdb ?
