Refactor original code

Check Express best practices and reorganise files into folders, as well as putting Hue-related logic into functions or modules as necessary.

Action required: Greenkeeper could not be activated 🚨

🚨 You need to enable Continuous Integration on all branches of this repository. 🚨

To enable Greenkeeper, you need to make sure that a commit status is reported on all branches. This is required by Greenkeeper because it uses your CI build statuses to figure out when to notify you about breaking changes.

Since we didn’t receive a CI status on the greenkeeper/initial branch, it’s possible that you don’t have CI set up yet. We recommend using Travis CI, but Greenkeeper will work with every other CI service as well.

If you have already set up a CI for this repository, you might need to check how it’s configured. Make sure it is set to run on all new branches. If you don’t want it to run on absolutely every branch, you can whitelist branches starting with greenkeeper/.

Once you have installed and configured CI on this repository correctly, you’ll need to re-trigger Greenkeeper’s initial pull request. To do this, please delete the greenkeeper/initial branch in this repository, and then remove and re-add this repository to the Greenkeeper App’s white list on Github. You'll find this list on your repo or organization’s settings page, under Installed GitHub Apps.

Install Angular

Integrate the latest stable version of Angular into the project.

Use groups in /teams/:team endpoint

Refactor code in /teams/:team endpoint to use groups instead of individual bulbs. The "front" group should show the secondary colour and the "back" group should show the primary colour.

Add /setup route

The /setup route should create a new config file if one doesn't exist. Otherwise, it should use the existing one.

All other functionality should be disabled until config is completed.

Config should have the following functionality:

  • Scan network for Hue bridges and select one, saving to config
  • Create a new user (requiring user to press the PushLink button on the bridge) and save to config
  • Display a list of compatible bulbs and let user sort them into "front", "back", "left" and "right" groups, and save to config

Add setup endpoint

Add a /setup endpoint that can do the following:

  • Search network for Hue bridges
  • Add new user to the Hue bridge
  • Search Hue bridge for compatible bulbs

It should also write the following to the config file:

  • Hue bridge IP address
  • Hue bridge username
  • Group ID numbers

Add light logic to /victory/:team

The /victory/:team endpoint should flash the team's secondary colour on "front" lights and primary colour on "back" lights. Timing of the effect to be played with to find something decent.

Basic functionality

First version with basic functionality:

  • Built-in list of teams and associated colours
  • Use config file to store Hue bridge username and light/group settings
  • API changes lights to team colours
