Some tips:

ldapsearch for people's contact information

ldapsearch uid=<uid>

Note: assigned e-mails from the 42 domain seem to forward to given/personal e-mail addresses

Setup zsh aliases

  1. vi ~/.zshenv
  2. add aliases, save
  3. close and restart terminal session

Examples:

alias subl="/Applications/Sublime\ Text.app/Contents/SharedSupport/bin/subl"
alias gccc="gcc -Wall -Wextra -Werror"

Note: should also probably create aliases for Norminette checking, can also modify terminal prompt

Adding 42 Headers

  1. open your file with vi
  2. type :Stdheader and press enter

Turning on syntax highlighting in vi/vim

  1. open your file with vi
  2. type :syntax on and press enter
  3. to turn off type :syntax off and press enter

Making syntax highlighting permanent

  1. vi ~/.vimrc
  2. add syntax on
  3. save and quit :wq
