Hi Luca,
Graal JavaScript does not allow unlimited thread access in JS code like Nashorn. That is inherently insecure and can lead to unmanagable synchronisation problems (data races) everywhere.
We do however support several JavaScript engines being started from different threads, that communicate on their respective thread with Java code (where you can interact and do the syncronization properly). See https://github.com/graalvm/graaljs/blob/master/docs/user/NashornMigrationGuide.md#multithreading for more information or #16 for some technical discussion.
