This image no longer builds as the base image moved to distroless. I was thinking of extending the JAVA_OPTS and trying normal layering, but I have no idea what I'm doing..

right now, we have a 3-step release. Maybe we can get that to one.

This release is the same as docker-zipkin-dependencies, which is 3-step although both steps are local.

1. update the Dockerfile to the version you want.
2. push that commit to master.
3. push a tag with that version.

ex. make a commit that sets version to 0.1.1 in the Dockerfile. push that commit to master. then push tag 0.1.1 on that commit.

We want to install the latest version of Zipkin 2.19.2

But https://github.com/openzipkin/docker-zipkin-aws/releases/tag/0.19.0 was tagged this on 16 Oct.

This is more a new feature, we have an elasticsearch as aws service and a zipkin docker as kinesis collector, for security concerns we need all data encrypted in elasticsearch, is possible zipkin UI Decrypt the data with a public key kms aws? I think this is a possible new feature

xray is here, but the amazon daemon is not present on the image. This means it is probably not a valid setup. AFAICT can either remove the xray module from this image, or add the x-ray daemon to it with instructions for how to configure it.

As part of the move to the Apache Software Foundation this repository will transfer ownership to apache and name to incubator-zipkin-docker-zipkin-aws.
