Minkowski issues about openscad HOT 5 CLOSED

i tested this on ppc64 linux and 32bit x86 linux with CGAL-3.9 and it worked OK. fedora and debian.
i was using 'cgalpngtest' from the test suite. not the GUI code.

i also tested the GUI code on my own branch im working on, which, while not HEAD, is pretty close. it worked ok too, 32-bit x86 with CGAL-3.9. ubuntu 10.

i was using a completely clean build - wipe and re-clone from git.

Cool, I am no longer getting the crash either! What about the first problem, is the object un-minkowski-able?

i get a union of two cubes with all the corners rounded off. i was under the impression that this was the correct resulting shape for minkowski sum of a sphere and two cubes.

The issue is twofold:

1. CGAL-3.8 doesn't handle this minkowski sum. It works with CGAL-3.9
2. There is a bug in OpenSCAD which doesn't handle the resulting CGAL exception gracefully. I'll fix that momentarily

FYI, I upgraded to CGAL-3.9 and no longer have the issue. Thanks for the tip!
