ocm-data's Issues

Mis-assigned countries

We've just been playing with various visualizations of the OpenChargeMap data and it's showing up lots of charge points that are listed as being in the wrong country.

For instance, the Benelux map has a load of charging points listed as being in NL, but which are geographically in DE.

Don't know how to fix that, really.

Need help identifying charging network info

Hey All,

Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this post, but I just started using the API and I cannot figure out how to identify the charging network associated with each charging station. I imagine this is the OperatorID column? But, this is just a ID value (int). Is there a file with a mapping between IDs and network names?

Thanks in advance for any help!

JT

Update: nevermind. Found it inside a json element.

number of POIs with SubmissionStatusTypeID for delisted entries seems quite high

I've downloaded the gzipped JSON file and done some basic filtering using pandas. Filtering out all delisted POIs (1000, 1001, 1005, 1010, 1020) results in only 40616 entries left that are flagged as being live (from 135952 total entries). The website lists all stations available per country at https://openchargemap.org/site/country. Adding those numbers up results in way more stations than I have filtered out (the same goes for locations).

Maybe I am just understanding the field wrong though. Or does the website display delisted stations as well?

On a side note, is this the complete database dump? Or just recently cached values based on access by users?

Data on old operators (bought by BP) still in the system

I was messing with our map of charge points and came across a few dozen charge points in the UK that are listed as owned/run by Elektromitive. That's been owned by BP since 2017. None of the Elektromotive websites/email addresses are still up.

Similarly, all the formerly Ecotricity stations are now Gridserve.

As before, happy to help if there's something I can do.
