openbci_nodejs_cyton's Issues

Device and simulator output difference

Hello,

I was wondering about the measurement units of output, In the README file it says "Channel 8: -0.00001875 Volts." as an example of output. So I would assume the output would be in Volts. However the output scale for simulator and actual device is obviously different.

For simulator is something as in example: -0.00001875
But actual device gives measurements which look more like: -0.1875

So I was wondering what is the reasoning for this difference and what is the actual measurement unit for the device output?

Sincerely,
Agne

Can this be upgraded to wifi?

The python handoff.py is is a totally great interface between OpenBCI Node_JS for real-time BCI. However, it currently looks like it only supports BLE and not wifi. This is quite limiting under the BLE data bandwidth for 16 channels (128Hz)

Please can you bring in the wifi capabilities.

Thanks so much.

BUG: connect function not working on windows 10

Problem

Running the get streaming example (modified) on windows does not work because the Serial port is being closed too fast.

Expected

To be able to connect to the board on windows and stream data from the cyton!

ADD: get streaming example for windows

The only get streaming function uses the auto find port function which only works for mac and linux.

A new example should e made for windows or the auto find function should be removed completely.

Issues installing the package

Hi, I'm working with my university with the Cyton board, we're trying to build a webapp to get data from the board and do some elaborations.
I'm trying to install the package by npm install @openbci/cyton but I keep running into this error:

`npm WARN deprecated [email protected]: This module moved to @hapi/sntp. Please make sure to switch over as this distribution is no longer supported and may contain bugs and critical security issues.
npm WARN deprecated [email protected]: This version has been deprecated in accordance with the hapi support policy (hapi.im/support). Please upgrade to the latest version to get the best features, bug fixes, and security patches. If you are unable to upgrade at this time, paid support is available for older versions (hapi.im/commercial).
