Needed for photos as well as code and other images.

Since “Home” is no longer part of the main navigation grid, it needs a place.

Provisionally, next to the “back to top” link (currently 100% width bottom of the document) makes the most sense. Each would be 50% wide. This also solves layout problems on larger screens as well.

But exclude from the pushed repo.

• include an old photo from your childhood
• when you say "Because the data for the site will be kept off-site (in a GitHub repo) that can also be backed up in multiple other ways" create an aside to explain what some of those other ways are

I think they should be part of the git repo for the site. They are an essential part of the complete site, and I am likely creating or using all of my own work, so there are no foreseeable licensing issues. PNG and JPG files do not play well with version control, but it is probably not much overhead for a site of this size. I want my SVG files version controlled, and I want them in the same place as my other images.

Maybe make a new post about what gets cut.

Labels and inputs don't do anything in RSS readers (or really anywhere without the site’s style sheet). They should be removed with a filter from the syndication feed.

Since I am using srcset+ respimage (see #46 and #47), should the source for images be larger, particularly for photos?

Right now I am defaulting to 720px, but I might go larger.

I think time-to-first-byte is a lot faster.

Inline :hover link blue should be darker.

I will use the About page as a test for this. This style is likely aimed at singel and dubbel page layouts more than photo pages (which already have heavily featured images and benefit less from the style).
