kiwix-plug's Issues

Use without the WiFi hotspot function

I'm trying to use kiwix-plug on a Raspberry Pi that's already providing other services and is plugged into a switch. So basically I want a system just like kiwix-plug but without the WiFi hotspot thing.
Can you give me some pointers on how to do this?
I'm having a hard time compiling kiwix-serve because I'm getting some cryptic compilation errors. I can provide those on demand.
Thanks!

setup_raspberrypi_sd.sh hardcoded to /dev/sdb ?

Hi - first - thanks SO MUCH for all the work on Kiwix. It's a brilliant idea, exceedingly well executed.

Just wondering, the end of setup_raspberrypi_sd.sh uses dd to copy the raspbian image to the sd card called $DEVICE - but it then proceeds to try to format the rest of the device /dev/sdb{1,4}. If you're running all this on a standalone linux box, sdb might not be the device you want, surely?

I'm likely missing something, but I'd have thought some variant of $DEVICE would be more appropriate than /dev/sdb?

Thanks though!

hiding external links when using Kiwix plug

When reading ZIM files from a plug, clicking on them leads back to home page or error message. Lots of pages on Wiktionary and wikivoyage have ext. links, it really makes for a bad UX.

Same thing for Openstreetmap in Wikivoyage - box does not show map but frame with error message (unsightly)

Possible solution: change external links to nolinks, eg. similar to what there is for non-article space internal links
